I am writing to thank you and all of your care staff for the exceptional service shown to Mrs B over the past few years, but particularly over the past week.

The social workers and district nurses were impressed by the care and attention to detail that all of your staff gave. Your staff consistently gave their time and patient support in a professional manner.

Please pass on our recognition of this support, and we look forward to working with you all in the future.

Bellcare offer a wide range of services for elderly and disabled persons throughout North and West Cumbria.

Care for the Older Person.

We appreciate that all individuals have a right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality; they also have a right to make their own decisions and choices. The older person has a right to have a quality of life that can be enjoyed for as long as possible, where they choose to be, in their own home. Our Care Assistants are trained, to meet all your needs now and in the future.

Individuals with Dementia.

Bellcare provides knowledgeable and sensitive care, support and guidance to individuals with Dementia (or similar) illness. We provide comprehensive research-based training and support to our staff, we understand the importance of routine and reassurance. Bellcare have Dementia Advisors who can liaise with the individuals concerned and the staff that support them to ensure we provide the appropriate care and support.

Physical Disability Care.

Our sensitive, caring team can offer the motivation, support and encouragement needed to maintain as much independence as possible. We understand the need to be listened to, to have wishes and options considered, and to be able to make one`s own life decisions, whether big or small. Even in the face of severe disability, we can help the individual live a full and enjoyable life.

Individuals with Learning Disabilities.

Bellcare offers practical and emotional support with daily activities, help with learning and stimulation to enable the individual to develop and sustain abilities to improve their quality of life. Our staff receive training to meet these very individual needs which can range from financial management, management of medication, practical skills such as meal preparation to challenging behaviour.

Individuals with Mental Health Needs.

Bellcare understands the requirements of those of us who need mental health support. Our sensitive staff employ a supportive, reassuring and diplomatic attitude. We work with other professional agencies to ensure a sensitive and progressive delivery of care that may be a part of a planned regime of activities to medication management.

Care for Carers.

Bellcare cares for and supports those who care, whether they are family or friends, you can be reassured that your loved one will be safe with us, to allow you a little time for yourself.

Care in Our Local Communities.

Bellcare recognises the importance of community, of supporting and influencing how we live within these communities now, in the past and in the future. Bellcare are proud to be Cumbrian; we are the local independent care providers of choice.

Flexible Care.

Our flexible approach to personal care means that we are also able to provide a comprehensive support service for respite or emergency situations - often a preferred alternative to moving into residential care. This can be a simple drop-in service or more comprehensive 24-hour live-in care, depending upon the requirements of the customer and their family. Either providing a comprehensive level of personal care on a daily basis or just helping out with the shopping or some light housework, Bellcare are able to respond to most requests.
